「ながらの座・座」とは

琵琶湖のほとりの古都大津。その山麓にある長等（ながら）公園に隣接して、三井寺の庫裡（くり）の一つだった「元・正蔵坊（しょうぞうぼう）」（登録有形文化財橋本家住宅）と古庭園があります。
歴史ある環境が簡単に壊されていく時代にあって、保存するだけでなく新たな文化をはぐくみ楽しむ空間として蘇らせ、守り・伝えて行く場として「ながらの座・座（ざ・ざ）」の活動を行っています。

Beside Biwa Lake, there used to be Otsu, an ancient capital of Japan. At the foot of the mountain in the capital city alongside Nagara Park is the Hashimoto-family residence and garden, built in the early Edo era, originally called Shozo-bo and now a Registered Tangible Cultural Heritage.
This building and garden are occasionally used by Nagara-no-zaza, not only to protect the property but also to foster and enjoy new traditions by opening up it to society.

歴史と自然と生活空間が一体になったこの空間の特性を生かし、一般のホールでは実現しにくい実験的・先駆的なコンサートや、様々な表現活動、人が交わる場が生まれています。このような試みを持続する中から文化財の新たな保存と活用の未来が生み出されることを目指しています。

Through experimental concerts and various activities for expression and learning, a gathering place is created that makes the most out of a property that unifies history, nature and living space. Our goal is that by continuing this (experiment) we can create a new future for the preservation and practical use of cultural properties.

これらの活動は、趣旨に賛同する方々による任意団体「元・正蔵坊と古庭園を楽しみ守る会」によって運営されています。
設立は2011年9月。
All activities are organized by supporters and members of The Society for the Admiration of Shozo-bo and Garden.
